Welcome to the online home of the Division on Women and Crime newsletter, the DivisioNews.
The DWC--the largest division in the ASC--is a group of scholars that works to facilitate and promote research and theory development, pedagogical strategies, and curricular enhancement that strengthen the links between gender, crime, and justice.
The DWC also recognizes the achievements of women as students and professional scholars in the study of criminology through its annual awards programs. To encourage networking and interaction among academics, researchers, practitioners, and students, the DWC provides a variety of opportunities for professional and social interaction including:
- feminist their and action workshops;
- other specialty workshops and forums; and
- numerous panels and presentations on women, gender, crime, and justice.
We encourage you to check out the newsletter and all the amazing resources that it provides. Issues appearing before spring 2008 can be accessed here. Materials appearing in spring 2008 or after are archived by page. For example, see the "Letter from the Editor" page to see the current letter, as well as previous editions back to spring 2008.
