Prometheus Club

Georgia Tech's history club takes its name from Prometheus, Greek mythology figure who stole fire and technology from the gods and gave them to man. An intellectual and social center for all Georgia Tech students interested in history, the Prometheus Club sponsors movies, museum tours, lectures, and other activities. Examples of recent events include a forum on female forms of radicalism for Women’s History Month, a group tour of the Atlanta Cyclorama, and a screen of and lecture on the film The Patriot. Future sponsored events will include a round table on “Cuba after Fidel” and a tour of the Museum of American Patriotism. Interested students may enquire about the Prometheus Club by contacting club president Kris Carta at kcarta3@gatech.edu.
